Roasted Brussels Sprouts

I know that I have said before, but I'm going to say it again. Sometimes simple recipes are the best. This "recipe" is the perfect example. It's so simple that instruction really aren't needed but here is what we did anyway:

You will need:

Fresh Brussels Sprouts
Salt
Pepper
Cilantro
Oregano
Olive Oil

Wash thoroughly a bag of fresh Brussels Sprouts. Remove any damaged leaves. Then slice not quite all the way through each vertically, so that they open up, but do not fall apart. Drizzle lightly with olive oil and season very lightly with salt, pepper, and a little oregano and cilantro. Roast in the oven at 375°F until golden brown and crisp tender.

These always turn out delicious, and Quirky inhales them every time as if we will never make them again. In fact, you might have noticed there is no finished product picture, there is a simple explanation. We all three attacked these like there was no tomorrow, and it wasn't until I was cleaning up the dishes that I remembered that I hadn't photographed the finished recipe. Oh well...maybe next time.

On a side note...When camping we have even made them this way wrapped in foil and cooked in the camp fire. They make a great healthy alternative to the typical campfire fare of hotdogs and chips.
